Why CrossFit can make your life better

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.” – GREG GLASSMAN

Have you ever heard of CrossFit? Well, you should! Because CrossFit is what will get you in shape no matter how you look like! It’s your path to good health; it’s your support group, and it’s your therapy!

CrossFit is, basically, a training program that was founded by Greg Glassman. Its main purpose is to build one’s strength through a huge number of workouts that are very challenging. It’s different than gym because it does not include any machines! Yes! No treadmills! Can you believe it? Also, no zumba! Are you disappointed? You shouldn’t! Especially if you’re in harmony with your own body. CrossFit works best for those who are trying to find a special style of exercise that fits them best.

I started CrossFit few months ago, and I do not exaggerate when I say that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. To tell the truth, it is very challenging, but to also be fair, if you have the right coaches and the right group, you will have loads and loads of fun! Luckily, I had both when I started which made it easier for me. A lot of people discouraged me; they said, “CrossFit is not for you! It needs people who work out regularly. It’s very hard! You won’t last.” But all these were just lies! Because nothing is too hard for those who try their best. I won’t really lie to you; sometimes, you will lay there on the ground, you will not be able to catch your breath, your heart will be racing, and your coach will keep saying: PUSH PUSH PUSH! And all you will want to do is to cry and go back home, BUT the good thing about working out with a group is that they will keep encouraging you! They will support you; you will get up and do the exercise, and then you will be so proud of yourself! Trust me, it’s worth the try!

There are many benefits for CrossFit, one of them is Time Management. A good workout in the gym may take 2-3 hours; however, for those who don’t really want to waste three hours of their day and still maintain a good body shape, CROSSFIT IS FOR YOU! The exercises are very intense! And you use most of your body parts in very short period of time; which gives you a bigger benefit in a shorter period of time!

Do you have that one friend who keeps promising he/she will come with you to gym, but they keep postponing it! And you end up being lazy and you just promise yourself to do it next week? We all know what happens when next week comes, right? But for those who want a good company, because they get bored at gym or they feel more motivated with someone around them, CrossFit is definitely for you! Everybody is doing the same exact exercise at the same time. If you are a beginner, you will do it with people who are beginners like you. If you’re an expert, you will do it with experts like you; you will motivate one another and PUSH PUSH PUSH! It will be Awesome!

If you’re a CrossFitter, chances are: you will be familiar with the WOD. WOD stands for: Workout of the Day! Which varies from one day to another; for example, you can do air squats, deadlift, burpees (Good Luck with that!) , push-ups, set-ups AMRAP; which is as many rounds as possible in one day, and in the other, you can do 20 pull-ups, 30 rings rolls, 30 front squats; lots and lots of squats, and 50 lunges (Oh Dear Lord!) for three rounds in 20 minutes. You can do a total different thing the day after; which is very interesting and entertaining.

One negative thing about CrossFit is that it is a bit pricey. However, if you think about it, it’s worth it to spend money on being a better person. Besides, everything is expensive nowadays, right? So spend your money in the right place!

CrossFit is the best place for those who seek a better physical, mental and psychological state! Because sports is truly such an underestimated therapy! If you’re a big fan of challenges, if you want to make new achievements, get in shape in a very short time. Then here’s an advice: Eat healthy, sleep well, and CROSSFIT!
