Football fans all over the world have been waiting for the talented Brazilian player Neymar to sign for either FC Barcelona or Real Madrid C.F. However, on the 27th of August, 2019, Neymar has surprised everyone by adding a video on his Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter official accounts, wearing the famous red jumpsuit with the Dalí mask. Both the jumpsuit and the mask refers to the Spanish popular drama: La Casa de Papel, a Netflix production, and aka Money Heist in English! The translation of his caption was: I was able to fulfill my dream and be part of my favorite series, and now I can share joão with you all! Thank you La Casa de Papel!
Eu pude realizar meu sonho e fazer parte da minha série favorita. E agora eu posso compartilhar o João com todos vocês !

The 27 year old football star was supposed to play the role of a Monk whose name is João in season three of La Casa de Papel; he was supposed to be seen in episode 6 and episode 8, but these scenes were deleted because of Neymar’s rape accusations. According to DW, “Najila Trindade, a 26-year-old Brazilian model, accused the Brazilian player of forcing her to have sex at a Paris hotel in May, saying he was drunk and violent.”
DW added that She reported to the police that last May, a representative of the PSG player had got her tickets to Paris and booked her a room in a hotel after they texted each other on Instagram.
However, due to lack of evidence, the case was dropped by the Brazilian Police, and Netflix re-added Neymar’s scenes once again!
La Casa de Papel’s official Twitter account replied to Neymar’s tweet video with a gif of two of the series main characters: El Professor and Berlin, while singing the famous Italian song: Bella Ciao! Moreover, Darko Peric, who plays Helsinki in LCDP, added a photo on his Instagram account with Neymar saying, “We have a new kid in the gang! Welcome Neymar.”
We’re so excited to see Neymar on the famous Netflix drama! But wouldn’t it be so cool if he skips the monk’s role, joins the gang and calls himself: Barcelona! Or Madrid! Perfectoooo! Who knows? Let’s wait and see!
