10 Movies Coming to Theatres That We Can’t Wait For

2019 is definitely an important year in the movie business, whether in Egypt, or internationally. There is already a riveting line-up of movies that we are eagerly waiting for this year. However, to keep you updated with all the new releases, we’ve made you a list of 10 movies coming to theatres later this month or the next one.

1- Avengers: Endgame

Topping the list is one of the most awaited movies this year; Marvel’s final Avengers Movie. Celebrating Marvel’s 10-year achievement in building its Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Endgame is finally coming to theatres in April. The Avengers team’s path is unknown after the devastating events of Infinity War. Is there any hope for restoring order to the universe?

2- Dumbo

Expected to be released by the end of March is Disney and Tim Burton’s fantasy family movie; Dumbo. Expanding on the beloved classic story, the movie tells the adventurous story of a young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly.

3- Hellboy

Popular fictional superhero, Hellboy, battles an ancient sorceress who threatens to destroy the human race, as he is caught between two disparate worlds. Luring us to the supernatural world, the movie is coming to theatres at the beginning of April.

 

4- Leilet Ras El-Sana

It is 2009 and it is new year’s eve in Hurghada. As exciting as this may sound, crises arise when a group of wealthy voyagers get together. The thrilling, dramatic, star-packed movie is expected to be released in Egypt on the 20th this March.

5- Stan & Ollie

Likely to be in theatres this March, is the biography of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, famously known as “Laurel & Hardy” the legendary comedy duo.

 

6- Lizzie

This drama thriller has already been released abroad in 2018. Yet, it is planned for it to be released in Egypt by the end of March. Set in 1892, Massachusetts, the movie is about a girl who led a quiet life under her father’s strict rules until she finds a kindred spirit in the live-in maid and their friendship takes another level.

 

7- Kursk

Also already released abroad and expected to be released in Egypt by the end of March, is this period piece; Kursk. It’s an English-language French-Belgian drama based on the book A Time to Die: The Untold Story of the Kursk Tragedy, about the true story of the 2000 submarine disaster.

 

8- The Curse of La Llorona

For the horror movie lovers, this unsettling movie is scheduled for release next April. Trying to keep evil at bay, a mother seeks help to survive the wrath of the legendary ghost La Llorona who is stalking the night – and the children.

9- Teen Spirit 

Starring the gorgeous Elle Fanning, this teenage musical drama is planned for release in the beginning of this year’s April. Fanning plays a shy teenager with a passion for singing. We see her integrity, talent, and ambition being put to test as she enters a local competition with the help of an unlikely mentor.

10- El-Kenz 2

After the success of part 1 in 2017, El-Kenz resumes with the stories of Hatshepsut in the Pharaonic era, Ali al-Zaibaq during the Ottoman era and Bashir al-Katatini, head of State Security Investigations Service. The story of love and destiny is expected to hit Egypt’s theatres soon enough.
