Egypt’s National Handball Team claimed Its First Win in the World Championship

The Egyptian Handball national team lifted up their hopes after they claimed their first win in their third encounter in the World Men’s Handball Championship 2019 currently being played in Denmark and Germany.

The Pharaohs were unable to obtain a win in their kickoff game against Sweden as they lost on a hard fought game of 24/27 score to the European side where Karim Hendawy was one of the very impressive performances making over a 30% successful saves. In their following game against Qatar, they lost 28/23.

The Egyptians were drawn into Group D of the competition with Sweden, Qatar, Hungary,  Argentina, and Angola


In their contest against Argentine, Egypt managed to turn things around as they lost the first half with one point difference and claimed the victory with a score of 22/20. Aly Zein declared the Man of the match award scoring five goals and Sanad seven goals.

The Pharaohs are set to meet up with Hungary next Wednesday at 7:00pm and Angola on Thursday at 4:30. If they claimed the third spot in the table they will qualify for the second round of the competition
