CAF has named Egypt as the host of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recently The Confederation of African Football known as CAF announced Egypt as the new host for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Although the rights were taken away from Cameroon late last year, Egypt submitted their bid alongside South Africa to host the finals. CAF continued on saying that Cameroon was not ready to host 24-teams.

Egypt last hosted the Afcon tournament in 2006, while South Africa last hosted it was in 2013. Both have hosted on four occasions in total compared to South Africa’s two.
