So, if I have to describe this show in a couple of words, here’s what I would say: real, funny, heartbreaking and ultimately brilliant. I was first introduced to BoJack Horseman less than two months ago through a couple of friends, and I’m not sure if they did me a huge favor or ruined me forever. I mean, this show did change me. I can honestly say that this is the most complex and might even be the best thing I’ve ever watched, and I watched a lot of things! You know what the craziest part is? This is a show about a middle-aged humanoid horse who starred in a show named Horsin’ Around, his agent is a cat, likes a human, dated an owl, and hates a dog, and that’s not even the craziest part. The craziest part here is that you can relate to every single thing. This show went to the deepest human emotions there is, and somehow, they tackled the whole mental issue topic better than anyone else.
Same. It unearths some of the worst, but also best feelings, inside me.
So much deeper than I'd anticipated!

Need further proof? Well, in this article I’ll be showing you some of the most realistic BoJack Horseman quotes and moments. Don’t worry, no spoilers are included here, I won’t explain anything, so if you haven’t watched the series yet, you can still go on.
You know when you love someone, regardless of all the warnings and the signs, you still love them anyway, well..
“When you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags.” — Wanda Pierce
That one time they talked about death, and it was brutally honest.
“There is no shame in dying for nothing. That’s why most people die.” — Henry Winkler
And then, BoJack literally said everything
“You know, sometimes I think I was born with a leak, and any goodness I started with just slowly spilled out of me and now its all gone. And I’ll never get it back in me. It’s too late. Life is a series of closing doors, isn’t it?” — BoJack Horseman
We keep ourselves busy to avoid thinking, don’t we?
“The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn’t the search for meaning; it’s just to keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you’ll be dead.” —Mr. Peanutbutter
We’re all drowning. Together.
“All three of us were drowning, and we didn’t know how to save each other, but there was an understanding that we were all drowning together.” — BoJack Horseman
The thing about being a real good person
“All I know about being good I learned from TV. And in TV, flawed characters are constantly showing people they care with these surprising grand gestures. And I think that part of me still believes that’s what love is. But in real life, the big gesture isn’t enough. You need to be consistent, you need to be dependably good.” — BoJack Horseman
The problem with life? Diane explains that…
“That’s the problem with life, you either know what you want, and you don’t get what you want, or you get what you want, and then you don’t know what you want.”— Diane Nguyen
I can go on with this list forever. The whole show is nothing but brilliant realism, however, I choose to let you watch it yourself and pick your own favorite quotes.
