TGT“It’s a really sad day, but we’ve been doing that show for effectively 17 years – sitting around in studios, watching cars race around the track.”

“We all agreed that we’ve been doing it a long time, and everything eventually runs its course. Besides, I’m 58 and I’m too fat to be climbing on to the stage.”

“It’s the end of an era.”

Wipe out your tears though, because this does not mean the trio are going to retire. The trio have announced that they have an upcoming project with Amazon that will basically be season 4 of The Grand Tour, which according to Clarkson’s words: ‘even Marvel would be jealous of’ for the amount of money they have for a budget. It is meant to a series of specials filmed on the road that will appear on Amazon Prime for the next few years.
