California Wildfires: Death toll rises to 23, and Celebrities evacuating their homes

The death toll from massive blazes raging across California has risen to 23 in one of the worst wildfires the state has ever seen.

According to the CNN 10 of the victims were found in the fire-ravaged town of Paradise, seven were found in their homes, two in cars, three were outside, and the remaining two were in their houses in Concow area.

“This event was the worst-case scenario,” Butte County Sheriff Kory L. Honea said. “It’s the event that we have feared for a long time.”

The wildfire has burned more than 6,700 homes and businesses in Paradise, and is considered the most destructive in the state history and is expected to get worse.

Many celebrities were forced to evacuate their houses as fires threaten Malibu, Calabasas, and Thousand Oaks including Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, Melissa Etheridge, and Kim Kardashian.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Malibu house has burned down, according to TMZ. All of Malibu has been ordered to evacuate, which is home to numerous celebrities and Hollywood executives.

Fire officials estimate the number of people forced from their homes statewide is more than 300,000. Firefighters are struggling to put down the flames. The Camp Fire is 20% contained, while the Woolsey Fire is just 5% contained, and the Hill Fire was 25% contained.

We’re out of the fire zone and are safe. Thinking about all those that are affected and hope you all are safe too.
