“This event was the worst-case scenario,” Butte County Sheriff Kory L. Honea said. “It’s the event that we have feared for a long time.”
The wildfire has burned more than 6,700 homes and businesses in Paradise, and is considered the most destructive in the state history and is expected to get worse.
Many celebrities were forced to evacuate their houses as fires threaten Malibu, Calabasas, and Thousand Oaks including Lady Gaga, Rainn Wilson, Melissa Etheridge, and Kim Kardashian.
I’m so grateful I love you and god bless you to all the firefighters and first responders who continue fighting this fire. You risk your lives for us, and I’m so humbled by your bravery. You are our heroes. #WoolsleyFire
