It was announced that First Lady Melania Trump is set to go on a tour through Africa starting from the 1st of October, organized with the US government’s international aid agency and would be part of her “Be Best” campaign.
She will be visiting 4 different countries in the continent of Africa, which are Ghana, Malawi, Kenya, and Egypt. There she will be discussing “Child Well-fare” with an emphasis on opioid addiction and online behavior.
Melania frequently accompanied her husband Donald Trump on his tours and trips; however, this trip will be marked as Melanie‘s first international solo trip, as her husband won’t be accompanying her.
“This will be my first time traveling to Africa and I am excited to educate myself on the issues facing children throughout the continent, while also learning about its rich culture and history,” the first lady said in a statement.
Melania also added that she plans to take advantage of this tour to bring to focus the humanitarian work and programs underway in several African countries.
