An American ex model, Kathryn Mayorga, accused Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her at Las Vegas in a hotel room back in 2009.
Kathryn Mayorga said that Cristiano Ronaldo raped her even though she repeatedly screamed no. After the attack has happened, Cristiano Ronaldo apologized while stating that “he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman”.
Mayorga’s lawsuit is accusing both Ronaldo and his team of taking advantage of her mental and emotional state back in 2009 and letting her remain silent by signing a nondisclosure agreement. She also claimed that she received 375,000$ for her silence and her lawsuit is seeking to void the settlement and agreement.
Ronaldo’s representatives denied the rape allegations when German publication Der Spiegel first reported them in 2017 but on Friday 28th of September 2018 Mayorga’s was interviewed and broke the news while Ronaldo’s representatives are calling it illegal.
“It violates the personal rights of our client Cristiano Ronaldo in an exceptionally serious way. This is an inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy,” lawyer Christian Schertz said in a statement.
Moreover, Ronaldo appeared on Instagram live post to stop the claims: “What they said today, fake — fake news. They want to promote by my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous — to say my name. Yeah but it’s part of the job. I’m (a) happy man and all, all good.”
Meanwhile, Mayorga has gone into hiding. Trolls have already set up fake social media accounts in her name, and Ronaldo’s fans are jumping to his defense.
