After a lot of waiting, Apple has finally announced it’s newest set of products and as you can imagine, they’re as pleasuring to the eyes as they are irritating to your wallet. The company used its Gather Around event to announce the release of the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and the latest 4th generation apple watch.
In regards to the XS and the XS Max, they’re definitely an upgrade from the previous iPhone X, but they’re mostly similar in every aspect except that the XS Max has a 6.5 inch screen, which makes it one of the largest phones ever. The new upgrades include a whole new camera system and extra battery life, but the biggest upgrade yet is that the phones support dual SIM. Both phones include a slot for a physical SIM card and a built-in eSIM, which is a huge leap in the world of iPhones which have always been limited with only one SIM card.
The third phone, the XR, also has an improved camera and an improved Face ID unlocking speed, but the most significant feature about it is the price. In a world where the 64GB version of the XS costs $999, and $1099 for the XS Max, the XR takes over the price arena with $749 for the 64GB version. And just like the iPhone 5c, the XR comes with a wide set of bright body colours to choose from but unlike the 5C, the new XR’s body is made out of aluminum not plastic.
The last product announced was the new apple watch which didn’t really have a lot of upgrades to offer. Basically it’s just the same as its preceding one, except for one really important feature.m; apparently now the apple watch can detect whenever you fall down or have an accident, and it will call the emergency if you don’t get up again within a minute.
The real question now however, since Apple already announced 4 new products and we’ve already been expecting new iPads and MacBooks, why weren’t those announced too? Are they going to be delayed? Or is it just strategic marketing and waiting for the right moment? Guess we’ll have to wait now and hope Apple would make some new announcements soon.
