Netflix has just released the trailer of its newest original film “The Angel”, and surprisingly enough, it’s mainly about an Egyptian character. Based on the book by Uri Bar-Joseph, “The Angel: The Egyptian Spy Who Saved Israel”, the movie tells the story of Ashraf Marwan who was the son-in-law of President Abdel Nasser, the advisor of President Sadat and one of the most effective characters in the Egyptian-Israeli war, being a spy for the Israeli intelligence agency, the Mossad.

According to the book, Ashraf Marwan who is being played by the Dutch actor Marwan Kenzari, had a leading role in uncovering Egypt’s secrets and strategies during the war as he had access all information that were both classified and critical at the time.
