Just an hour ago, Brendon Stanton, creator of Humans Of NewYork (HONY) announced on his Facebook page that he’ll be staying a couple of days in Cairo! Yes, you read that right, Cairo!
Stanton will arrive in Cairo next week, on the 22nd of August, and he’s already looking forward to gathering photos from all over the city. He’s also searching for an interpreter, and he’s specified exactly what he want in one. So if you think you’ll be the right one for him, contant him through email at [email protected]
Humans of New York started out as a photography project in 2010. Stanton’s goal was to photograph 10,000 New Yorkers on the street, and create a catalogue of New York’s inhabitants.
Shortly after, Stanton found himself interviewing his subjects and adding quotes or short stories from their lives alongside the photos.
Stanton’s blog soon encapsulated stories of every kind; of hope and despair, of love and hate, of failure and success.
He didn’t stop at NYC though, Brendon’s love for travel allowed him to share and feature stories from over twenty different countries, including Iraq, Pakistan, Kenya and Mexico.
His work is also featured in two bestselling books: Humans of New York and Humans of New York: Stories.
