Skincare 101: Eat Your Way to Glowy Skin

We often hear “you are what you eat” and as cliché as this sounds, but it’s definitely true!

You can add the upcoming food to your daily diet to improve your skin and your overall health. Trust me, the results -on the long run- are so worth it.

1- Dark chocolate:

We will start with the most delicious option out there, definitely chocolate. The reason why we chose dark chocolate is that it has less dairy ingredients which may cause acne for some people. Dark chocolate helps to boost the ability of the skin to protect itself from the sun as it contains flavonol. You must be aware that the sun is the main reason for early wrinkles.

2- Flaxseeds:

Lately, many ladies were introduced to flaxseeds as it can be used to make a gel that can be used for curly hair. When added to your diet, they can add a lot of benefits as omega-3 which helps to fade the unwanted spots away. It can be added to smoothies, yogurt or even granola. 3- Leafy vegetables:

Leafy vegetables like spinach contain antioxidants that act as anti-aging agents which will eventually protect the skin from having early wrinkles. That includes spinach, broccoli, kale, arugula and cabbage.

4- Tomatoes:

Not only they are a key ingredient in many different delicious dishes, but they are also a source of antioxidants which decrease the negative effects of the sun. They are also a great source of vitamin C which is found in many pricey skincare products.

5- Almonds:

Damage done to the skin because of the sun rays can actually be defended by eating a small amount of almonds on a daily basis as they contain vitamin E which is also a key ingredient in many luxurious skincare products.

Sometimes the slightest differences are game changing, you just have to keep going and remember that your very own glow can come from within.
