The Best FIFA Football Awards Nominees Announced and Our Egyptian King is on the list!

The nominees for the Best FIFA football awards were revealed today, the awards will be nominating the best in each category(men-women), where they are based according to the performance on the field and the overall behavior on and off the pitch.  It’s known that the list have been selected by a panel of football experts.Regarding the men’s category, it is based on their respective achievements during the period from 3 July 2017 to 15 July 2018, and from 7 August 2017 to 24 May 2018 for the women’s category.

  1. The best FIFA women’s coach:

The 10 nominees for #TheBest FIFA women’s coach 2018 that have been revealed based on performance from the period 7 august 2017 to 24 May 2018 are:

  • Emma Hayes: Coach and current manager at Chelsea women, she led the club to the Football association women’s super league title and SSE women’s FA cup title which is top cup competition for women’s football clubs in England.
  • Stephan Lerch: Head coach at VFL Wolfsburg, who won Bundesliga title which is Germany’s primary football competition, DFB-Pokal titles which is German cup that is held annually and finished runners up in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
  • Mark Parsons: coach for Portland Thorns club who won the National Women’s Soccer League.
  • Reynald Pedros: Coach for Olympique Lyonnais feminine who won the UEFA women’s champions league.
  • Alen Stajcic: AFC women’s Asian cup finalist with The Australia’s National Women’s Football Team.
  • Asaka Trakur who led the Japan Women’s National Team to AFC women’s Asian cup 2018 title.
  • Vadao: Coached the Brazilian national women’s football team to Copa America Femenina’18.
  • Jorge Vilda: Lifted the 2018 Cyprus cup and qualified to FIFA worlds cup for women with the Spain’s Women’s National Football Team.
  • Martina Voss-Tecklenburg: Six wins from six plays with the Switzerland national football women team at the FIFA world cup qualifications for women.
  • Sarina Wegman: won 2018 Algarve cup with Netherlands women’s national football team and are top of FIFA world cup for women qualification group with 0 goals conceded after 7 games.

  • Massimiliano Allegri: Won Serie A which is a professional league competition for football clubs in Italia, also won Coppa Italia titles with the Juventus Football club.
  • Stanislav Cherchesov: Led the Russian football team to the quarter finals of the FIFA world cup.
  • Zaltko Dalic: Led the Croatian football team to their first ever FIFA world cup final.
  • Didier Deschamps: FIFA world cup champion the French football team.
  • Pep Guardiola: Took Man-city club to Premier league and Carabao Cup titles.
  • Jurgen Klopp: made it to the champions league final with the Liverpool club.
  • Roberto Martinez: won the 3rd place with Belgian football national team at the FIFA world cup.
  • Diego Simeone: Led Atletico de Madrid to UEFA Europa League title.
  • Gareth Southgate: Fourth place finish at the world cup with England’s national football team, this has been the best world cup for England since 1990.
  • Ernesto Valverde:  Lifted the La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies with FC Barcelona club.
  • Zine-dine Zidane: Champions league and Club World Cup Winner with Real-Madrid Club.

3- The best FIFA women’s player: 

The 10 nominees for #TheBest FIFA women’s players 2018 that have been revealed based on performance from the period 7 august 2017 to 24 May 2018 are:

  • Lucy Bronze: Defender for Olympique Lyonnais Feminine won league and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
  • Pernille Harder: Midfielder for VFL Wolfsburg who won Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal titles, and finished runners up in UEFA women’s champion’s league while captaining the Danish women national team.
  •  Ada Hegerberg : forward  Olympique Lyonnais Feminine which won league cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
  • Amandine Henry: Midfielder Olympique Lyonnais Feminine who lifted the UEFA Women’s Champions league trophies, as well as captaining the French national football women team.
  • Sam Kerr: AFC Women’s Asian Cup finalist with Australia’s National Women’s Football Team. Also, National Women’s Soccer League and Westfield W-league golden boot winner.
  • Saki Kumagai: Captained Japan’s national team to AFC Women’s Asian Cup’18 title and double winner with Olympique Lyonnais Feminine.
  • Dzsenifer Marozsan: Double winner with Olympique Lyonnais Feminine and Captain of German women’s national team.
  • Marta: Lifted the Copa America Feminine trophy with the Brazilian women football team as a captain.
  • Megan Rapinoe: Key player in US women football team’s She Believes Cup’18.
  • Wendie Renard: Defender and was captain of Olympique Lyonnais Feminine club.

  • Antoine Griezmann: Champion with the French national team, Adidas bronze ball and Adidas boot award at world cup and UEFA Europa League winner with Atletico de Madrid club.
  • Eden Hazard: Captained the Belgium national team to finish 3rd place at world cup. also, won the Emirates FA cup with Chelsea football club.

The winners for THE BEST will eventually be revealed on 24 September at the official awards ceremony in London, while those are just the nominees. And, for us the fans, we have a say for who gets to win #TheBest, All the football lovers all over the world have a say and they can vote in the four awards categories, from 24 July to 10 August,
