Thanaweya Amma was indeed one of the most stressful times of our lives. However, the aftermath of Thanaweya Amma can be a little ambiguous. You’ve stepped into a pit hole and you’ve no idea what future holds for you. Here is some advice that could actually put the mess you’re feeling into perspective.
- It’s not the end of the world!
I wish I had always known that just because I’m done with a chapter of my life, that everything else will come through. However, the sad part is that it’s just the beginning. It’s only the beginning of your upcoming chapters. It’s the pathway door to another chapter which is shaping who you are as an adult. So make sure don’t give up on everything from your plans just because you’ve finished Thanaweya Amma.
- Pick the college you’re only interested in!
This point couldn’t be stressed enough. But society’s eagerness and obsessiveness towards what they call the best career choices in Egypt is a whole lie. Don’t fall into the pressures of Medical schools and Engineering schools. Not that these schools aren’t good but they aren’t the only choices that are available. For instance, if you’re into art then choose what suits your tastes not the society’s predetermined choice.
- College is not a necessary passage of success!
There are many career paths that don’t necessarily require a university degree. You just have to have the talent; this is applicable to many fields like Marketing, Graphic Designing, Writing and the list could go on. If you didn’t get the grade to get you into your dream faculty, then it’s not the end of the world. There are plenty of other ways to learn the field you’re interested in. You’ll just have to teach yourself about the field you’re interested in regardless the faculty you’re in.
- Travel, travel and travel!
You’ve been detained for the last 11 months and you’ve been put under the radar by your family and your teachers. You’ll have to come out of that bubble of stress. You should travel as much as you can. Maximize your enjoyment before your next chapter begins. Here are some recommended places you could travel to.
No matter what results you get, just enjoy the fact that you’re finally free!
