A Major GoT Setting Might Be Getting Destroyed In Upcoming Season 8

Everyone’s excited for the new and final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. While the company films the last season, paparazzi and fans circle the set and catch glimpses of what’s coming. One widely rumored spoiler is the destruction of one important setting: The Great Hall of King’s Landing.

The unconfirmed source (Express) mentioned a flaming in the Great Hall of King’s Landing, which brings us back to Dany’s vision in season 2. HBO never confirmed, of course, but the rumor is so widely spread and might have connections to previous events in the series.

Dany’s vision from the House of Undying might come true; she probably will burn the Great Hall (and possibly all of King’s Landing) to the ground. Back in Season 2, Dany went into the House of Undying to find and rescue her baby dragons. During it, she had a vision quest where she spoke with Khal Drogo, met her unborn child, and also visited The Great Hall.

However, it might simply imply Dany had another vision. This would allow Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo to return once more (as rumored). And, well, it would surprise fans if Khaleesi didn’t burn the world with her two dragons.

In any case, we have to wait and see, and the next season can’t come soon enough!
