The German Embassy in Cairo announced the appointment of the Egyptian, Dr Mohamed El Sayed Badr, as the new Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication in Munich, after winning a competition against 17 other German professors.
The 39 years old is from Alexandria, and is considered to be the youngest immigrant in Germany to be appointed to this position. Badr has been previously named as the best college professor in Germany after competing with 72 other German professors in 2017.
Badr has established joint media programs between the Universities of Westminster in London and Macromedia in Munich and is credited with enriching scientific and cultural cooperation in the field of information and other areas between the two universities.
