Next Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot in a royal wedding and we just can’t wait for watching a fairy tale wedding. Since the announcement of their engagement on November 27, 2017, details surrounding the former actress and Prince’s fairy tale day have been revealed and here’s everything we know so far:
The Wedding’s Location
The couple’s special day will be held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor where the prince was baptised. The Prince has a strong connection to Windsor as he spent a lot of time as he attended Eton College from 1998 to 2003.
The Wedding Reception
The ceremony will last for an hour after that, there’ll be 2 reception ceremonies. The first one will be the Queen at St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle. This will be followed by a second one hosted by Prince Charles that will be for Harry and Meghan’s closest friends and family at Frogmore House, also in Windsor.
The Best Man and The Maid of honor
Prince Harry has chosen his older brother, Prince William to be his best man.Prince Harry served as best man to The Duke of Cambridge at his wedding to Catherine Middleton in 2011. It’s also expected that Harry’s nephew and niece Prince George and Princess Charlotte will act as a pageboy and bridesmaid.
Unlike the groom, Meghan couldn’t choose a maid of honor as she has a very close group of friends and she didn’t want to choose one over the other and they’re all going to be there in Windsor with her.
On Monday Thomas Markle reportedly stated that he will no longer be attending his daughter’s Meghan Markle Royal Wedding, after reportedly suffering from a heart attack.
This news comes after the controversy of Mr. Markle’s paparazzi photos, in which he allegedly made a deal with a paparazzi agency to take his photos while getting reading for his daughter’s wedding; seeing no harm in it, but unfortunately got some backlash because of it.
Whether the reason for Mr. Markle’s absence from his daughter’s wedding is the paparazzi controversy, or really because of health issues, our hearts and support are with him, his daughter Meghan, and their entire family.
“This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She & Prince Harry ask again for understanding & respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation” A Kensington Palace spokesperson told E!
With this sudden and upsetting news, it is stated that Prince Charles will be walking the bride down the aisle.
Harry and Meghan have taken a great deal of care and time in choosing the music for their Service, which will include a number of well-known hymns and choral works that includes the Choir of St George’s Chapel and 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, who performed on Britain’s Got Talent.
The Guest List
Apart from the royals and members of Princess Diana’s family, such as her brother and two sisters, lots of celebrities are going to attend the wedding including Serena Williams, Sir Elton John, Priyanka Chopra and Meghan’s former Suits co-stars.
The royal wedding is taking place tomorrow and we cannot wait any longer to see what’s going to happen in the big day!
