Last March, both City Centre Alexandria and Maadi held an awareness and donation gathering campaign to highlight the importance of early detection of hearing loss in children in celebration of World Hearing Day.

The collected amount of donations in both events was EGP 136,115 and it all goes to children in need of cochlear implant procedures.

The donation was a partnership between Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre with the Egyptian Cure Bank and Resala. Throughout the day, free hearing screening tests were run on mall goers in Alexandria and Maadi through Amplifon, Egypt’s foremost-dedicated hearing aid specialist.

The event was a collaboration between City Centre and Esma3ny in celebration of the World Hearing Day. The cause was adopted for the whole month of March as part of their “Gifts from Heaven” program which was launched last year. “Gifts from Heaven” solely dedicated to raising donations and increasing awareness to Egypt’s differently abled children.
