The European Champions came to snatch victory from the hands of the Pharaohs in the international friendly match that was held between them in Switzerland in preparation for the 2018 Russian World Cup.
The press was interested in this match that was attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, highlighting the head-to-head between Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah, having scored a combined 73 goals so far this season in all competitions with their respective clubs.
Salah opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a left-footed drive from outside the area making sure that we were destined to pick up a memorable win over the current European champions until the 92nd minute when the Ballon d’Or winner came to rescue and scored the first goal for the Portuguese then quickly he added a second that Ronaldo was able to celebrate the winning goal after the video had been consulted for a possible offside to bring a close to the match.
There are some players in our national team that shined that night including Trezeguet, El-Neny and Mohamed El-Shenawy who was able to save many chances in his first international appearance with the team.
Next up for Egypt is next Tuesday against Greece while Portugal will face the Netherlands who was defeated by England in last night’s match.
