MINNA Project Gives You The Chance To Show Your Hidden Talent, And That’s Not All

Funded by the European Union, MINNA programme is the outcome of a collaboration between some of the market leaders in the Middle east; Ricerca e Cooperazione Egypt, AUEED – Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development, Innovety and Orient Productions.

The MINNA programme is mainly concerned with music, visual arts and cinema. This wide range of fields allows multiple talented people to join a competition for a chance to win a prize, show their talents to the world, get training and interact with people within their scope of interest.

Knowing the obstacles that hinder young talents such as lack of funding or training, the project aims to help artists and cultural operators in Egypt to achieve sustainability and broaden their audience base. The overall purpose behind the initiative is to promote culture and cultural diversity as factors of social and economic growth, to support sustainable development in Egypt, meeting the country’s sustainable development strategy vision 2020.

During its last call, the programme outreached people in different areas of Egypt including Cairo, Alexandria, Delta and Upper Egypt. The winners also came from different locations; Music Residency – Minya, My Broken finger – Cairo and Where there is places there is art – Alexandria.
