Fox Officially Announces Sixth Season of Prison Break

Some great news for the loyal fans of Prison Break around the world! The rumors around a new season of the series have been stirred since the epic finale of the fifth season. Not until Fox announced a sixth season of the very thrill series, confirming that they’re developing a new iteration.

It’s been stated that Season 6 will not include an entirely new different cast, though we probably know that Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Robert Knepper and Sarah Wayne Callies are a must. However, there have also been reports of Knepper being removed from the next season due to the assault allegations against him, but nothing confirmed yet.

The makers behind the series are promising to give something new this season. “There’s always room for more, in my mind. As long as it’s a story that’s worth telling, as long as it feels justified and cool and edgy. It has to be something that’s not going to let the fans down, that’s going to satisfy and surprise.” as said by star Wentworth Miller.

Nothing was announced concerning the date of the premiere, but it’s been reported that the new episodes will most likely return in 2019, since the development is in the early stages.

If you never watched the series, then I’d totally recommend giving it a try and you won’t regret. The fans have waited for seven full years for a fifth season with only nine episodes aired last April. It had 2.6 million viewers per episode. These fans are probably willing to wait for more episodes next year!

So are you ready for a new break?
