Egyptian Lawyer sentenced to 3 years in Prison for inciting rape

Nabih Elwahsh; the “Girls with revealing clothes or wearing ripped jeans, their rape should be a national duty” guy received a 3 years sentence in prison and a 20,000 EGP fine for his call for sexual harassment.

On November 26, The Egyptian Lawyer was immediately called following his remarks towards Egyptian women with revealing clothes when presented in channel “AlAssema” as a guest in “Infirad” Tv program.

Attorney General Nabil Sadek ordered his referral to AlAzbakya court and he paid a 10,000 EGP fine for a temporary release until court time on the 2nd of December.

The National Council for Women fiercely showed their objection to Al Wahsh’s statements claiming, “All the members of the council denounce and decry this statement that explicitly promotes rape and sexual harassment.”  Furthermore, Maya Morsi; the head of the council added that this a violation of the Egyptian constitution that protects women’s rights.
