5 Ways to Keep Your Brain Healthy

The brain is one of the most important and vital organs in the human body, which is why requires good care otherwise it will fail to do its job. This one organ is responsible for everything that we do and in return the smallest care will boost up its energy in the long run.

1. Reading:

This is the easiest way to help take care of the brain and yet people it’s one that some people hate the most. Researchers have conducted that reading helps the brain connect with different circuits, and most importantly, those changes last for at least five days. Other studies also found that reading can slow the development, maybe prevent, of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
2. Video games:

The one that most people love the most. Video games keep the brain active, causing it to think of solutions right on the spot. This is good for the long run because the production of solutions helps with the daily life, even unconsciously, you find yourself adopting that solution. According to a research done by The Journal of Neuroscience, it was found that 3D games help increase memory capacity. Another research that was published in PLoS ONE showed that playing video games actually makes you smarter when done right. Just don’t overuse this method and you’ll be fine.
3. Exercising:

Exercise reduces insulin resistance, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the release of growth factors—chemicals in the brain that affect the health of brain cells, the growth of new blood vessels in the brain, and even the abundance and survival of new brain cells.
4. Social gatherings:

One study has shown that regular social activity promotes the creation of new brain cells and supports brain repair. Socializing keeps the brain active and introduces the human to new things they might not have known about.
5. Rich Diet:

Our brain also benefits from a healthy diet, requiring specific foods to keep it going. For example add lutein to your diet, eat a diet rich in vitamin E or switch out saturated and trans fats for healthier fats.

At the end of the day, people should be more careful when it comes to using the brain, they shouldn’t tire it out and expect it to gain its energy by itself. One should take care of the brain like they take care of their outfits and looks.
