Massive Bombing and Open Fire In Al-Arish Mosque Leaves Over 180 Men, Women and Kids Dead

A number of militants stormed Al Rawdah Mosque in west Arish City during Friday prayers, detonating an explosive device. Security sources have stated that 184 were killed and 120 injured in the attack.

Eyewitnesses said that the gunmen opened fire on worshipers, set fire in cars that belonged to residents and blocked the road in Al Rawdah Village.

Security and medical sources reported the closure of the Arish-Rafah road, further east and a total of 50 ambulance vehicles, security forces and bomb squad were positioned to the attacked village in Arish following the attack.

Preisdent AbdelFatah El-sisi is said to hold an emergency meeting at 3 p.m. Friday to discuss the developments of the attack.
