To all movie lovers out there, mark your calendars on the 8th of November, because *drum rolls* it’s the beginning of the 10th edition of the panorama of the European film!
The panorama of the European film is an annual event which lasts for 11 days. The program is founded by Misr International Film -a film and TV company founded by Youssef Chahine back in 1972, and organized by Zawya -the first art-house cinema in Egypt.
This year, on its 10th edition, 10 cities are taking part in the program, to have the highest number of screening venues since the panorama’s 1st edition.
The program includes the latest award-winning European documentary and short films, workshops and masterclasses, which follows this program:
Full screening program at Zawya and Zamalik cinemas, workshops and masterclasses at Cimatheque, in addition to +10 free screenings around Cairo, Alexandria, Port Saeed, Ismailia, Assiout, Mansoura, Zagazig, Damyetta, Menya and Qena.
It’s been anounced that this year’s films’ sections are 7 sections; European Cinema, Emerging Directors, Documentary Rendez Vous, Urban Lens:Mysterious London, Carte Blanche -its aim is presenting 3 Egyptian directors’ European film choices, Panorama Classics and Special Screenings.
