The Egyptian Version of Eid Al-Adha: Traditions We Can Never Give Up On

The fact that we never get bored from Eid’s traditions and the new ones we create over every year. How sometimes we may not feel its spirit, but hey, we have a couple of things to remind us of its spirit.

You may be spending Eid in Gouna or in a family gathering that includes fatah, either ways it has to include El 3edeya. No matter how old you are, whether you’re 12 or 22, we all demand getting our 3edeya for the sake of feeling the Eid’s spirit.

The unexplainable reason for why the malls always seem to be a crowded place in Eid which makes it a no no outing place. You might find half of Egypt’s population in CityStars so might as well stay home to avoid those couple of crowded days.

Eid is basically the season for movie theaters to make money. El Sobky’s movies that never miss a chance to produce a film in Eid. The never ending movies that have no plot and make no sense however some people still watch them for the sake of Eid’s spirit and having a laugh.

Then there is the kind of people who plan on spending their Eid in Sahel. Family gatherings is now the old Eid and parties is the new one. Marassi and Hacienda is where half of Egypt is going to be. If you haven’t seen this video for Marwan Younis you definitely should. His idea of Eid’s essentials is going to give you a blast.

Wherever you’re going to spend your Eid, hope you have a nice one and get to chill before the new school/college and heading to work kind of mornings. Eid Mubarak!
