In the fashion world, the cover of the September issue of all the magazines is a big deal! It’s Harper’s Bazaar’s 150th anniversary, and they’re never failing to make impressive covers. For their September issue, the magazine does not only have a singer and two of the best supermodels in the industry, the issue also featured their Bazaar Icons, including other great models, including Karlie Kloss and Natasha Poly. Summing up the issue in one sentence “Music and fashion collide in the best of the Fall 2017 collections.”
Abel Tesfaye, who is known as The Weeknd, talked fashion and his music success, and how his 2016 Starboy album established him as one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. He revealed his fashion inspiration, and who inspires his red carpet appearances. The songwriter-singers modeled with the Victoria’s Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel, and supermodel, Joan Smalls.
Not only him and the supermodels were in the issue, but the 33-year-old singer, Miranda Lambert, was also featured as one of the Bazaar Icons, as well as Courtney Love, Dionne Warwick, Grimes, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Travis Scott and Kelly Rohrback, celebrating the 150 years of the magazine.
The styling was by the very special global fashion director Carine Roitfeld. “From rock to hip-hop, classic to country, and electric to soul, this unique group of Icons is about diversity, that is what I love,” Roitfeld said. “Celebrating a universal language of music and fashion is important to the world today.”
Great shots and photography Brigitte Lacombe for this September issue. Luckily, we still have tens of other magazines to surprise us for the next month.
