The Master of clay makes it big at Madrid

The clay court Master, Rafa Nadal won Mutua Madrid open for the fifth time in his career after beating the Austrian Dominic Thiem 7/6. 6/4 in an intense game. Nadal made it to the final after beating world no.2 Novak Djokovic.

The Spainard proved that he can’t be stopped on clay after winning three consecutive championships this season on clay; Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid Open.
It’s his 15th win on clay this year, he even dropped only two of the 32 sets he’s played on clay court this year.

Nadal is now tied with Novak Djokovic for the most Masters titles as both of them won 30 titles and they will have a chance to set a new record next week.
