The Golden Fish; Farida Osman

The Golden Fish, Farida Osman has become the third fastest female swimmer of all time in the 100-yard butterfly race as she won her first individual National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) title.
The Egyptian swimmer made history by winning the NCAA title in the 100-yard butterfly race with a 50.05-second finish, beating her previous best timing by 0.35 seconds which enabled her to be named an “All-American”; a title given to the best players in particular sport.

Farida is a senior student at the University of California who began swimming at the age of 5 in El-Gezira sporting club. She also, represented Egypt at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.
