Cairo Runners biggest Run @ Downtown, Cairo!

Yesterday, Friday the 2nd of December Cairo has witnessed the biggest run located in downtown!

Cairo Runners gathered from all around Cairo in order to participate in a four kilometer run that started from Abdeen Palace and ended in Swiss Embassy’s Swiss Arts Council, Garden City.

This run witnessed the largest number of Runners, which was 7,000 runners. The aim of the run was to expose all the hidden historic areas that people wouldn’t normally visit or enjoy.

Because Switzerland celebrates its Independence Day each year by running, they joined forces with Cairo Runners to organize the run, which took three seasons to prepare due to the great efforts they put in getting the licenses and permissions. The run was joined by Cairo governor Atef Abdelhamid and the Swiss Ambassador as well.
